as the title says, leapfrogging across bristol!!!! a team of, some may say extremely mad, people (myself included!!!) started this mammoth event from Barclays Bank in Fishponds and ended up at The Suspension Bridge in clifton four hours later! To say this was a challenge is an understatement!!!!! Everybody did so well; from children to the adults everyone leapfrogged their hearts out for CF!
I am ashamed to admit that i was the only one that managed to fall over!!!! but it is also pretty amazing that only one person did! It was also so heartwarming to see all those who took part, spent their weekend off either leapfrogging or colllecting money along the way from passers by. We also had a great support car - thanks joy - which provided us with bottles of water, chocolates, fruit and mars bars, and at the finsihing line managed to get a local business to part with sandwich making bits!
All this was the idea of the colleagues of a good friend Amanda Carter who works at the Fishponds branch of Barclays... her daughter Abbie - who has CF - was also leapfrogging, managing over half of the course!!
Unfortunately it did mean taking sunday to recover!!! leapfrogging all day resulted in many finding simply walking an interesting task the next day!
Although a final figure is not in, nearly £3600 has been raised to date... Truly Fantastic!!!!!! Well done everyone!!!
